Record Management System for Forest-Pathology Museum

THE PROJECT
The project was relational database management systems, which keeps the readymade records of the Forest-Pathology Museum and make it easy to access any record in a less time. The records are secure and protected with this system.
This new system has many facilities, which help the Forest-Pathology Division staff to handle the museum records easily and modify these without any inconsistency. New records can be added without affecting existing records. Queries can be initiated in predefined formats as well as the reports can also be generated in predefined formats.
The module is subdivided into following modules:
- Data entry
- Updating
- Query
- Reports
- Security
THE PROPOSED SYSTEM
The proposed Computerized Record Managing System for Forest-Pathology Museum is to break up the problems, which occur with the manual database system.
The main advantages of the new system are:
- Fast processing speed/capacity
- Better accuracy and improved consistency
- Faster information retrieval
- Modifiable
- Better security
- Reports can be generated
The proposed system will provide the user-friendly environment with entry forms, queries and detailed reports in a pre-defined format. The most important is forms, which are used to enter records that are the base of all other activities such as queries and reports.
Data Entry Forms
Data entry forms are used to enter valid and error free data. These forms provide some extra fields such as images to be maintained with the records for the special recommendation and communication. These forms can be used for inputting new and valid data, updating the existing data and for viewing the data.
Queries
Query is the data retrieval process. In this system, the queries are done in no time in specified format according the user’s requirement.
Reports
The hard copy of the data is produced in the form of reports. These are in the predefined specified formats.
Security
Security is necessary to provide enough protection to the data.
